Squier Classic Vibe ‘60s Telecaster® Thinline Semi-Hollow Electric Guitar
Fender first introduced their iconic Telecaster Thinline semi-hollow guitar in 1969.
Designed by German luthier Roger Rossmeisl in 1968, the Thinline was a Telecaster with body cavities and came about as an attempt to reduce the weight of the solid-body Telecaster guitar. Due to the dwindling supply of light Southern Ash, the Telecaster had become increasingly heavier and despite claiming that "heavy timber = better sustain", guitarists were unimpressed and not happy. The original Thinline released in 1969 had two single-coil pickups and a Mahogany body.
Finding an original in good condition is a challenge however, with the Squier Classic Vibe ‘60s Telecaster® Thinline, Fender have brought this iconic guitar within reach of everyone.
The Squier Classic Vibe ‘60s Telecaster® Thinline is a tribute to that early semi-hollow Tele models from 1969.
Modern manufacturing methods ensure a level of quality and consistency that was simply unheard of in the 1960s.
A pair of Fender-Designed alnico single-coil pickups deliver classic Telcaster tones. Player-friendly features include a slim, comfortable "C"-shaped neck profile with an easy-playing 9.5"-radius fingerboard and narrow-tall frets, as well as a vintage-style Telecaster bridge with a string-through-body design and individual steel saddles for precise adjustment.
1960s-inspired headstock markings add to the vintage look while rich-looking nickel-plated hardware and a slick vintage-tint gloss neck finish complete the old-school vibe.
